November 25th 2015

So I had a scheduled C section the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 28th. On Wednesday the 25th I woke well rested because it was the best nights sleep ever.. But I felt sick. I could barely walked. Just lots of pressure and I felt like the babies were going to fall out. ha ha. So I showed up to work super later and was texting my aunt Laura. Everything and every sign i was telling her was a sign of Labor. She told me I needed to go to the Hospital. So I had called Matt. He was getting his hair cut and told me I was just anxious and wanted to meet the girls. I called the nurse and she told me to come in because we didnt want my labor to progress because baby B was breach so i was going to go in for a c section. My mom received a call from laura and she demanded she take me. so she picked me up from work. As soon as I got to the hospital and all checked in My Dr came down. He told me if there was any progression from when I was checked a month before we would have babies today. Excitedly Dr Terry said "Well you ready to have some babies in 30 minutes?!" I looked at my mom and said call MATT! Matt grabbed our bags and met us at the hospital. Poor guy was so nervous and didnt saw much. He quietly got the Go Pro ready. Yes he wore a Go Pro! i had begged him and he gave in. As soon as my dad got there him and Matt gave me a blessing. Off we went to the OR. There were about 20 nurses or so waiting for babies. Because it was twins the NICU team was on hand.

I got the epidural. it wasnt bad at all. It made me super loopy. I was so excited, nervous, and anxious. the long awaited babies were about to be here. Matt and I were about to be parents. Baby A came out-Vivianne. Everyone gasped because of all her hair. Tears ran down my cheeks as I heard her cry. Matt and i were both taken over by emotion. Then a minute later Baby B-Edith. I heard a little cry and Matt bends down and whispers.."I don't think that's my baby!" she was as bald as can be. They measured and checked both babies out. Edith was taken into a room just to make sure she was breathing ok. After all three of us were ready they handed me both babies. I was a MOM! They wheeled us into the room. My parents, matt's parents and my aunt Laura were all there. There was so much love. The spirit was so strong and we were so blessed with these sweet little angels.

We had non stop visitors that day. Matt was happy and just calm. I was super sick and couldnt even keep ice chips down from the anesthesia. We stayed at the hospital 4 nights. I was so ready to come home! These little babes have been quite the adjustment but in a good way. I wouldn't change anything! I have loved being a mom and watching Matt be a Dad.

Not a lot of people saw this picture but this was our first picture together. I was very loopy and a little out of it. But oh it was a beautiful moment.

The Edwards Twins!!

Finally.. the 6 week ultrasound was here! The Nurse kept the screen to herself and slowly as she turned it around she said "Say Hello to the Edwards Twins!" I couldn't believe it. It was really amazing being able to hear their heartbeats. I am beyond grateful for modern medicine and the technology we have now a days. I am so Grateful for the love and support we have received through out this whole process. Also.. my Heavenly Father! With out him none of this would have even been possible. I thank Him every day.

This is how we annouced it. How cute is my little growing family. My sweet Sister Gabi is so talented and drew them for me.

There are many out there who struggle everyday with infertility. It is real. It is a struggle. and it is hard. I will always continue to hold it dear to my heart. I pray every day for the many friends we have made through our Infertility Struggle. With out those sweet friends support I don't think I would have made it through. So thank you! You know who you are sweet people!
